Smith's Olde Bar welcomes back TAB BENOIT. Tab is a Cajun man who's definitely got the blues. Playing guitar alongside Tabby Thomas, Raful Neal, Henry Gray and other high profile regulars at the club, Benoit learned the blues first-hand from a faculty of living blues legends. His band is a stripped down bass-and-drums unit propelled by his solid guitar skills and leathery, Cajun-spiced vocal attack. His latest release, "Brother to the Blues" has special guest appearances by some of the most seasoned country and Cajun songwriters and musicians of the past three decades: Jim Lauderdale, Billy Joe Shaver and fiddler Waylon Thibodeaux.
