Colour Revolt has earned a reputation for giving very energetic live shows, where its members make use of a variety of instruments, including electric guitars, bass, keyboards, drums, harmonica, and tambourine. Jesse, Jimmy, and Sean are all accomplished guitar players, and each performer brings a unique perspective to the craft. Jimmy, in particular, has been described as a "feral beast" when it comes to shredding the six string, and has a full arsenal of effects at his disposal.
