BLACK CAT SWITCHES
TO TICKET ALTERNATIVE
WASHINGTON, DC– Ticket Alternative signed a contract to take over the ticketing for D.C.'s Black Cat earlier this concert season. A huge score for this Atlanta-based company, the deal is undoubtedly a mutually beneficial one for this legendary D.C. nightclub.
The Black Cat has been bringing the best local, national and international independent and alternative music like Beck, Drive By Truckers, The Flaming Lips, Foo Fighters, Modest Mouse, My Morning Jacket, The Shins and The White Stripes, to Washington's music scene since 1993. It was Ticket Alternative's growing presence in D.C. and on a national scale as well as their significantly lower service charges and recognition as having stellar customer service that sealed the switch for Black Cat.
Ticket Alternative President and Co-Founder, Iain Bluett says, “In March we started this ticketing initiative called Campaign for Change meant to let music fans voice their opinions on how they purchase concert tickets. The survey clearly showed that music fans would prefer over anything else to pay lower convenience fees. The Black Cat was also the second highest Washington D.C. locale named as the venue music fans would most like to see switch to Ticket Alternative.” Bluett continues, “Black Cat's Owner, Dante Ferrando, shares the same passion that Ticket's Alternative's CEO and Co-Founder, Jamie Dwyer and I have for music. It's really exciting to be able to work with someone and a venue that are so dedicated and enthusiastic about what they do and what they can provide music fans!”
Dante Ferrando adds, "We looked at almost a dozen ticketing options and found Ticket Alternative the best fit. They have some of the lowest service charges we could find. They don't charge extra for features like print-at-home tickets, and they offer all of the services that the bigger companies have and some that the discount companies don't.” Fernando continues “Ticket Alternative worked with us in creating a simple and fair fee structure which was very important to us. We don't want our customers to feel confused or ripped off."
Ticket Alternative already had a presence in Washington D.C. before securing Black Cat. Ticket Alternative regularly handles the ticketing for a number of events and venues, including The Rock and Roll Hotel, which celebrates its third anniversary this year.
Check out Black Cat with their new and improved ticketing system! ALL tickets will be sold through Ticket Alternative starting September 26.
