TICKET ALTERNATIVE CREATES CAMPAIGN FOR A TICKETING CHANGE!
Voice Your Opinion, Save Your Wallet, Hear the Music
ATLANTA – Feeling the strain of rising concert ticket prices? No doubt you have, music fans. Ticket prices have DOUBLED in the last decade, but Atlanta-based Ticket Alternative wants to help! Ticket Alternative is concerned that the proposed Ticketmaster and Live Nation merger will result in an even larger increase in ticketing fees. The creation of a monopolizing super entity that manages both artists AND venues and sets ticketing fees can't be good for competition either.
In the spirit of the New Year and change for the better, Ticket Alternative is seeking helping from you, the consumer. Ticket Alternative has launched a campaign to make your voice heard! Now is the time to change the way people buy tickets. Lower service fees and fewer ticket outlets or higher fees and more ticket outlets? Voice your opinion! Let your favorite venue know that there are other ticketing companies out there and that you are ready for a change.
Ticket Alternative has put together a brief survey to help change the way tickets are bought, one venue at a time! Share your view on ticketing, and the results will be tallied and shared with venues and ticketed events nationwide. Also, be entered to win an 8GB iPhone, to be picked at random from the list of submissions on March 31st.
“I'm very excited about the impact this survey might have on the music industry,” remarked Ticket Alternative President, Iain Bluett. “We at Ticket Alternative think that venues all across the country need to see the results. They need to take into account the desires of the fans, their consumers! After all, it's because of them that venues, promoters and companies like us are in business.”
Ticket Alternative has always prided itself on catering to the music fans, whether it's offering the lowest service charges or its impeccable customer service and knowledgeable staff. Ticket Alternative co-Founders, Iain Bluett and Jamie Dwyer are avid music lovers themselves and understand that fans may need to find a way to help cut costs. Ticket Alternative can help relieve a little stress and economic pressure. All across Atlanta and in more than 150 venues across the United States, Ticket Alternative is helping concertgoers keep money in their pockets and tickets in their hands. Ticket Alternative knows - it's really all about the music.
Dan Nolen, co-owner of Midtown Atlanta's Smith's Olde Bar, previously an E-tix establishment, agrees: “Even with the bad economic times, people are still buying tickets. Last Saturday night, we sold out a performance with David Barnes. It's all about the right act, on the right night and tickets that are priced reasonably with a low service charge for convenience. That's Ticket Alternative – fits us just fine!”
