Ticket Alternative Announces Most Delicious Partnership to Date

STONE MOUNTAIN, Georgia— Stomachs are growling as Ticket Alternative gets ready for the Great Miller Lite Chili Cook-Off.

The Stone Mountain cook-off is the premiere event of its kind east of Texas. Chili connoisseurs travel from across the Southeast to compete, and patrons come by the thousands to taste, judge, and dance.

It's all for a great cause, too. All proceeds from the event will be donated to Camp Twin Lakes. Camp Twin Lakes is dedicated to providing an exciting camping experience and nurturing environment for children with serious illnesses or other special needs.

The cook-off will take place on The Meadow at Stone Mountain Park on Oct. 1, 2005. Tickets are $10.00 and can be purchased in advance from www.ticketalternative.com.

All chili is cooked right there on the spot, with the heat turned on bright and early at 6:00a.m. Judged in the competition will be various chili entries, Brunswick stew, and cornbread.

While patrons enjoy the tastes and aromas of the cook-off, there will also be live entertainment from a series of classic rock cover bands, each specializing the works of a different artist. When the Great Miller Lite Chili Cook-Off made its debut in 1981, 15 teams participated, drawing a crowd of about 1,000. Two decades later, the 2004 cook-off featured 300 teams with a crowd of 3,000 filling The Meadow at Stone Mountain Park.

With a variety of events planned for the whole family, event organizers believe 2005 will be their biggest event to date.
