Ticket Alternative and Minnesota United Extend Partnership as MNU Transitions to Major League Soccer
Minnesota United retains long-time ticketing partner, Ticket Alternative, as they join the MLS in 2017
ATLANTA - December 2016 - Ticket Alternative announced today the continuation of their partnership with the Minnesota United Football club. This announcement comes on the heels of the recent news that MNU will make a big move to the MLS in 2017.
Minnesota United’s Senior Director of Ticket Sales, Sean Sittnick, said of the decision, “As we make the transition to the MLS, ticketing becomes an even more important component of our fan experience. The choice to extend our partnership with Ticket Alternative was an easy one. In addition to a shared goal of offering Minnesota United fans easy, seamless ticketing, the support we receive from the Ticket Alternative team is unmatched by other ticketing providers. We look forward to working together for many seasons to come.”
During their relationship, MNU has leveraged Ticket Alternative’s integrated CRM and StubHub integration to increase their sales at the NASL level. As MNU makes the transition to MLS in 2017, they’ll use Ticket Alternative’s suite of marketing automation tools to deliver a one-to-one marketing experience by delivering customized, targeted messaging to every fan. MNU will also offer their fans a smooth transition to their new 20,000 seat stadium by displaying rich, 3D visualizations of the stadium during the ticket buying process, enabling fans to preview their seats with a virtual view of the field. This allows fans to renew, relocate, or upgrade their seats, all seamlessly integrated with their season ticket holder accounts.
Iain Bluett, Ticket Alternative President and Co-founder, hones in on this technology as one of the key factors behind the renewal. “Our software is able to take a very complicated process and make it easy, both for the team and their fans. It also provides MNU a system that is scalable and capable of growing with them as the needs of their organization change.”
Fans are encouraged to act early to be a part of soccer history in Minnesota. Current season ticket holders and individuals who purchase 2016 Minnesota United FC season tickets will be given an ‘Early Seat Selection Time’ for the club’s 2017 MLS season seat selection. There will be limited opportunities to claim your priority number while the team plays at TCF Bank Stadium as the club will cap the number season ticket holders.
